Ken Milberg began his career working as a computer operator for a wholesale distribution company in Brooklyn, NY in 1984. His first exposure to Unix systems was with SCO Unix 3.2, in 1988. Through the years, he has worked in both large and small companies and has held diverse positions from CIO to Advanced AIX Engineer. Ken is a published technology author and site expert for techtarget.com, where he provides Linux and Unix technical information and support at SearchEnterpriseLinux.com. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science, as well as a Master of Science in Technology Management from the University of Maryland University College. Ken also holds advanced level technical certifications with IBM, SUN, HP, Oracle and CISCO. Ken is also a writer and technical editor for IBM Systems Magazine, Power Systems edition and a frequent contributor of content for IBM developerWorks. He is also the founder and leader of the NY Metro Power-AIX/Linux users group and has served on the board at Unigroup of NY. Ken serves as a permanent guest on the Board at COMMON as their AIX guru and liaison. He has also written the first published IBM Power/AIX book in six+ years - “Driving the Power of AIX” - which is published by MC Press.
